Dr Navin Anand worked in UN India Office for seven years as Resource Person and Moderator, Solution Exchange (A Unique Knowledge Sharing Project of UN). He has successfully handled several national and international projects and also undertaken various studies. In the international domain, he has handled several projects of UNDP, World Bank, IFAD, DFID, etc. Presently, he is working as Team Leader for three PAN India Studies of Ministry of Cooperation-NCUI, Fisheries and Labour Cooperatives. He earlier worked as Faculty in VAMNICOM and RICM.

Amulya Nidhi

Amulya Nidhi is a dedicated Public Health Activist with over two decades of experience in campaign building, advocacy and action research. 
Holding Master’s degrees in Social Work and Archaeology, a degree in law (LLB), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Law and Ethics.
Amulya has worked extensively with Civil Society Organizations on several people centric issues. He leads ‘Silicosis Peedit Sangh’, an organisation working to ensure rights of the victims of Silicosis. He also leads ‘Swasthya Adhikar Manch’, a forum working Health Rights issues. Amulya serves as the National Convenor of ‘Jan Swasthya Abhiyan India’, and is the Managing Trustee of Nai Shuruwat, an organisation working on health, education, environment and other issues. Additionally, he is a resource person for Child Rights and You (CRY).
Amulya gained prominence for highlighting Occupational Health Hazards like Silicosis among migrant tribal laborers. 
He also spearheaded a campaign through ‘Swasthya Adhikar Manch’, against unethical Clinical Trials leading to the Government of India enacting new rules and regulations Amulya is also one of the authors of a Training Module on Health Cooperatives developed by NCUI..

Dr.C.Pitchai, Professor in the Department of Cooperation, Gandhigram Rural Institute (Deemed to be University), Gandhigram is an M.A.in Cooperative Management, M.B.A., Ph.D. After having completed Faculty Development Programme in Management at Indian Institute of Management, Ahemedabad, he worked in the National Council for Cooperative Training for 19 years. He has 30 years of teaching experience and a rich experience as a trainer in varied subjects related to cooperative management To his credit he has nearly 70 articles published in national and International journals. He has presented 60 papers in the workshops, seminars and conferences within and outside the country. He has conducted 14 research projects for various organisations.
Dr.Pitchai has worked as Assistant Professor at Mekelle University, Ethiopia for two years. During his stay he was instrumental in designing and launching M.Sc. in Cooperative Marketing, first of its kind in Ethiopian Universities. Dr.Pitchai is currently working as Professor in the Department of Cooperation and Nodal Officer, National Level Monitoring, MoRD, GoI.
He is one of the National Level committee members for drafting the National Cooperative Policy (NCP)-2023 of Ministry of Cooperation, GoI.

As a member of the Prime Minister’s High‑Power Committee on MSP, he brings a cooperative‑driven perspective to agricultural reform. Founder‑President of the World Cooperation Economic Forum (WCOOPEF) and Secretary‑General of the Confederation of NGOs of Rural India (CNRI), he champions the Cooperative Economic Framework to strengthen livelihoods, build global trust, and advance the SDGs. A pioneer in digital transformation and inclusive multistate cooperatives, he blends grassroots wisdom with global vision for sustainable development. His research and policy advocacy focus on achieving net-zero emissions by 2047 or 2070, promoting biofuels, gender-inclusive agricultural tools, and integrating digital innovations into farming ecosystems. His ability to bridge grassroots movements with high-level policy decisions has made him a key figure in global agriculture and cooperative policy development.
Beyond policymaking, Anand has consistently contributed thought-provoking articles and analyses on economic and social justice in agriculture. His work as a columnist and commentator has shaped public debates on fair pricing mechanisms, farmer welfare, and cooperative-led sustainability. His concept of a Cooperative Commodity Exchange is regarded as a groundbreaking initiative to reduce economic disparities, foster market trust, and enhance direct farmer-market linkages.
Anand’s enduring vision is to create a solidarity economy, where cooperatives, sustainable policies, and digital innovations collectively contribute to a more inclusive and equitable agricultural system. Through his extensive work in governance, policy reforms, and cooperative leadership, he continues to be a transformative force in shaping India’s and the world’s agricultural future.

Dr. Mallika Kuma

Professor of Economics at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC)

Dr. Mallika Kumar is Professor of Economics at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), University of Delhi. She is the Founder-Coordinator of the Office of International Programmes at SRCC and has been Deputy Dean, Foreign Students Admissions, International Relations Office, University of Delhi.

She is Head,Research Council at the World Cooperative Economic Forum and a Member of the ICA-AP Committee on Cooperative Educational Institutions. She also serves on the International Year of Cooperatives (IYC) Celebration Committee, Department of Cooperation, Government of Delhi, and the Cooperative Policy Committee, Department of Cooperation, Government of Uttarakhand.

Dr. Kumar holds a Ph.D. in Financial Cooperatives and has completed a professional development programme at Harvard University. With over 35 years of teaching experience, her research focuses on Cooperatives, Sustainable Development, Women’s Empowerment, and Experiential Learning. She has authored a book on Cooperatives and BIMSTEC Countries.

She was invited as a speaker to the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA to address the theme of Cooperatives and Education.

Dr. Kumar is the recipient of the Women Achiever Award 2025 conferred by the Attorney General of India and the Romasha Award 2025 from CNRI & WCoopEF for her contributions to Cooperatives and Education.
